In a significant anti-drug operation, Tripura police apprehended a suspected drug trafficker and seized Yaba tablets valued at approximately Rs 2 crore in Dhalai district.
The 11,000 tablets, weighing 1.06 kg, was being brought in on two motorcycles by three Assam youth from Manakachar when the Anti Narcotics Task Force intercepted them.

Upon searching the suspects, the police found 14 suspected YABA tablets and a significant amount of cash in their possession. The arrests were made as part of the ongoing efforts to crack down on drug trafficking in the region.
It is also suspected that these drug peddlers were sourcing drugs from distributors based in neighbouring States and have accumulated lot of wealth by peddling drugs.
