New Delhi, Dec 10: Thierry Delaporte, Wipro CEO has become the highest paid CEO in India, as per his salary package listed in the company filings for FY23.
Thierry Delaporte also claims the title of highest-paid CEO in Indian IT, outpacing HCL Technologies and TCS executives with an Annual salary exceeding ₹82 Crore, according to company filings.
While Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, with a salary package of ₹56.45 crore is second on the list of highest paid CEOs in the IT sector. Followed by Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani with a total compensation of ₹30 crore, while former TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinath earned over ₹29 crore in FY23.
Who is Thierry Delaporte, India’s highest paid CEO?
Thierry Delaporte, the CEO of Wipro, a prominent technology company in India, serves as both the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the IT giant. Wipro, valued at over ₹93,400 crore, stands as a key player in the Indian tech industry.
In the fiscal year 2023, Thierry Delaporte received a total compensation of ₹82.4 crore as part of his annual salary. At 56 years old, Delaporte, born in France, brings extensive knowledge and three decades of experience in the global IT sector to his role.
Before becoming the CEO of WIPRO, he was the Chief Operating Officer in Capgemini, a French IT firm.
It was in July 2020 that he was appointed as the CEO and MD of Wipro and has held the post since.
