Tura, July 14: An artist and singer from Tura Nasa Rianchi Ch. Marak on Wednesday filed an FIR at Sadar Police Station Shillong against “Ha Rynsan Meghalaya Rising Star” organizer BC Entertainment, wherein they stated that the organizer manipulated the result sheet and has wrongfully placed her in the third place.

She has alleged that the organiser has adopted unfair means to deprive a deserving artist of her due rights. She said that the organiser have cheated her and made her sell coupons, which was to be accounted as votes.

She further said that the organiser tried to buy time and kept saying that they will look into the concern, which never happened. In the FIR, she has mentioned that the organiser tried to buy time and delay her from filing an FIR.

In the FIR, Nasa stated that she participated in five different stages of the competition and was selected to perform in the finals, which was held in Shillong on Monday i.e 11th July. She said that one of the judges informed her that there was manipulation in the scoresheet and accordingly, she requested for the scoresheet.

She managed to get two scoresheets from the judges, while the third sheet was not made available. From the two judges’ scoresheet, it was clear that she was way ahead of others. She said that the organizers refused to share the scoresheet.

She made an effort to engage with the organiser and sought for clarification and declare fresh results, however, they failed to do so. On comparison with the scoresheet, it was found that Nasa’s score was way ahead of 1st runners up declared by the organiser.

In the FIR, Nasa also stated that she was made to sell coupons, which would add up as votes to declare the final results. She said that she sold coupons amounting to Rs. 60,000/-.

In her FIR she said that she has been cheated by the organiser and had to undergo mental torture. She has termed the organiser of taking unfair means to deprive a deserving artist of her due rights.

In the FIR she has named one Comet Lyngdoh for the goof-up in the entire competition.

Another contestant Andriana Kharsyiemlong from Shillong has made similar complaints and has filed an FIR at Sardar Police Station, Shillong.
