Agartala, Nov 8: In a joint operation, the BSF and GRP Agartala apprehended six Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman and two transgender individuals, in Tripura on Thursday.
In a separate operation, BSF personnel from the Samrupara Border Outpost in Kailashahar, Unakoti district, detained three Bangladeshi nationals, including two minors, as they attempted to cross back into Bangladesh. Officials confirmed that the detained individuals are family members from Maulvibazar, Bangladesh. A preliminary investigation is underway.
The BSF continues to maintain heightened vigilance along the international border to curb illegal infiltration. In recent months, numerous Bangladeshi and Rohingya individuals have been detained at Agartala Railway Station and other locations in Tripura while attempting to exit the state by train or other means.
