Tynsong tells BJP: “Platform of going to press is not a solution”

Must read

Shillong, Oct 16: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Friday made a scatting attack on Meghalaya BJP Unit for coming up with allegations of corruption and irregularities in district councils of the State without any ‘facts’ or ‘documents’.

“Please come up with documents, the platform of going to the press is not a solution,” said Tynsong, while giving a stern warning to the BJP. He also said that the MDA government is committed to erase any irregularities.

“From day one of the government we have been committed to the promise we made to the people of the State to erase irregularities,” Tynsong asserted.

In the past one month, BJP has time and again raised allegations of corruption in the council and have been giving statements in the press seeking CBI probe and had even threatened to withdraw its support from the Government.

However, the BJP legislators including its Minister A L Hek had a different view from the party, as they said that the question of withdrawal from the government cannot be decided by the State Unit.
