Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday held a mega road show in Assam’s Silchar to garner support for state Cabinet Minister and BJP leader Parimal Suklabaidya. Suklabaidya is set to contest Silchar seat and is replacing Dr Rajdeep Roy. Roy is an incumbent MP from Silcha Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was present along with Shah for the roadshow, a massive crowd was witnessed from various parts of Silchar to express their support for BJP. Slogans of Modi-Shah Zindabad, ‘BJP Zindabad’, Bharat Mata ki Jai,’ ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were echoed during the roadshow.
