After Congress’ “Assam Bachao”, Assam BJP starts door-to-door poll campaign

Guwahati, Feb 23: The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam has kicked off a massive e door-to-door campaign starting on Tuesday, ahead of approximate two months to state assembly elections in which state-level office bearers of the saffron party would visit voters at their residence and seek for guidance on upcoming strategies and also let them know of the achievements of the government in the last five years.

An official statement has been issued to the media by Dewan Dhrubajyoti Maral, the convenor of the media call, state BJP.

In this regard, Assam BJP Chief Ranjeet Kumar Dass has reacted through a tweet in Assamese, which reads, “Today, from February 23 to March 1, all the functionaries of the party are present at the doorsteps of each and every family in their respective areas and are united in their efforts to carry out the developmental works of the Central and State Governments”.

He added, “Sincerely, I would like to extend my best wishes to all the workers who have been working tirelessly to inculcate the spirit of selfless service.”

Last Tuesday, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) had launched a social media video contest as part of its manifesto building campaign called ‘Assam Bachao’. In which APCC asked the citizens of Assam to make two-minute videos about the biggest issues and problems Assam is facing today.
