Williamnagar, June 29: Akimbri Football Club has officially been renamed Simsanggre United, with the club also announcing a complete transfer of its management to a new administrator.
According to a declaration issued on June 1, the decision to rename the club from Akimbri FC to Simsanggre United was taken unanimously by its members, who approved the new name as the club’s official identity.
The declaration states that, with effect from June 1, all official communications, registrations, tournament participation and other football-related activities will be conducted under the name Simsanggre United.

The club has also transferred its overall management and administration to Tengrik M. Sangma, who has assumed charge as the club’s administrator. The declaration states that all decisions, representations and affairs relating to the club will henceforth be handled by Sangma on behalf of Simsanggre United.
The document was signed by Watseng Ch. Marak, President of Akimbri Football Club and Sengkhan Sangma, General Secretary, with Tengrik M. Sangma formally accepting the transfer of management as the club’s In-Charge and Administrator.
