Arunachal: Dy CM Mein pledges equitable & sustainable development for ‘Viksit Arunachal’

Itanagar, June 21: Arunachal Pradesh deputy chief minister Chowna Mein on Thursday reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to creating a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable development in the state.

Mein made the announcement while inaugurating the District Emporium in Namsai in his maiden visit to the home district after being sworn in as the deputy chief minister of the state for the fourth consecutive time.

Mein emphasized that ‘Viksit Arunachal’ remains the sole objective of the Arunachal Pradesh government in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Viksit Bharat. In this pursuit, youth, women empowerment and upliftment of the rural & farmers’ economy will be prioritized.

He further said equal emphasis will be given to the development of the border areas at par with the foothills and plain areas of the state for equitable development of all regions.
Mein also said that a road map for the overall development of the state in all sectors will be evolved under the leadership of the chief minister.

He added that the Modi 3.0 government will be action-oriented and very fast and we have to be always on toes.

Mein expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for electing the BJP with a thumping majority and also for sending Tapir Gao as MP from the East Parliamentary Constituency for the third time.

Mein also thanked chief minister Pema Khandu for trusting him and inducting him as the deputy chief minister for the third time in his cabinet.

The District Emporium is funded by NITI Aayog under the Aspirational District Programme to empower local artisans and entrepreneurs by providing them with a dedicated space to showcase and sell their products. The initiative also seeks to promote the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The emporium was inaugurated in the presence of MP Lok Sabha (Arunachal East), Tapir Gao, MLA of Namsai, Zingnu Namchoom.
