Assam artist draws Sushant Singh Rajput’s portrait using 31,000 nails

Bongaigaon, June 15: A young artist from Assam’s Chirang district, Saurav Mandal has drawn the portrayal of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput by using 31,000 nails on the occasion of Rajput’s first death anniversary. The artist is a fan of Rajput and the portrait made of nails is his tribute to the actor on his death anniversary.

Saurav completed the work within eight days after working for five hours a day.

Saurav already has a record to him name viz making the portraits of two famous personalities of India, Dr Bhupen Hazarika and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose using his mouth. The feat was completed in just 7 minutes 55 seconds. Sourav received Indian Book of Records on December 24, 2020. He got a certificate and a medal for achieving the feat.
He was also honoured and invited by the World Records University, the United Kingdom to undergo a doctorate programme and write a thesis about his art form.

Sourav’s inclination towards art was from his childhood. He wanted to be an artist but he had to leave it midway after passing his higher secondary examinations.
