Tura, Nov 23: The 10th edition of Bilgaro-X, Tura’s annual four-wheel stage rally and autocross event, concluded on Saturday at Green Haven, Walbakgre, drawing strong participation from young drivers and seasoned racers from across the Northeast.
Organised by the Tura Motor Sports Club (TMSC), the three-day motorsport spectacle held from November 20–22 showcased top-tier racers competing across Car, SUV and Rookie categories, reaffirming Meghalaya’s growing presence on India’s motorsport map.

The three-day event also featured the final round of the North East Championship (NEC) 2024–25.
Chief Guest Sanjay A. Sangma, MLA Mahendraganj, said the rise of Bilgaro-X reflects the region’s growing interest in motorsport. Guest of Honour Rakesh Sangma, MDC Babelapara, lauded the organisers for sustaining the event for a decade.

Ronan Bazely clinched the Car Class title, with Ryan Silkam Sangma and David Rhakho bagging second and third positions. The SUV Class witnessed a close fight, where Ryan Silkam Sangma emerged victorious, followed by Issac William Momin and Kamlesh Das. In the Rookie Class, Pynbiang Sympli dominated the category, ahead of Grover A Sangma and Attamra A Sangma.

The event also marked the final round of the North East Championship 2024–25, where Kamalesh Das was crowned the overall champion in both SUV and Car categories with cumulative points of 135 and 123 respectively— a rare motorsport double.
TMSC President Grahambell A. Sangma thanked the participants, volunteers and sponsors, while expressing hope for bigger editions ahead. The event was supported by the Meghalaya Tourism Department and other partners, and included cultural performances that drew a large weekend crowd.
