Tura, March 25: A vehicle veered off in the early hours of Wednesday at Rongdenggre under Jengjal Police Station, reportedly due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

According to police, the incident reported at around 6:00 AM when an individual informed Jengjal Police Station about the accident. A police team was immediately dispatched to the spot.

Preliminary enquiry revealed that the Bolero (ML08 G 4999), driven by Gopal Chetri (67) of Fancy Valley, Tura, was on its way towards Tura when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over to the right side of the road amid low visibility conditions.

The driver was accompanied by four other occupants, all residents of Tura.

No casualties reported however all five persons were promptly shifted to Jengjal Sub-Divisional Hospital for medical examination.
