Tura, Feb 17: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday inaugurated its new campus at Bewagre, near Beljek Airport (Tura), in West Garo Hills. The 100 Battalion BSF’s new campus was inaugurated by Inderjit Singh Rana, Inspector General BSF, Ftr Hq Meghalaya, in the presence of Alok Kumar Singh, DIG SHQ BSF Tura and Ajay Kumar Tiwary, Commandant 100 Bn BSF.

The campus is spread in an area of around 93 acres and has state of art facilities for operational, training, administrative requirements of the Battalion.

On the occasion, Rana appreciated the support of civil administration and local population in establishment of Campus. Establishment of BSF campus will not only add to security of airport, but will also provide in overall upliftment of living standard of civil population by generating employment, he said.
