Tura, Mar 26: East garo hills police team from Rongmil outpost have busted a gang of dacoits and apprehended four suspected youths early Saturday morning in a raid conducted on Mejolgre Chekjongbra village in connection with a robbery on the highway under Rongjeng police station that took place on March 24.

On that day, Thursday, the principal of Danal UP school submitted a complaint to police that they were waylaid by six dacoits on reaching A’brong and the gang snatched away their mobile phones, near Wageasi OP bordering North Garo hills District.

In this connection sources were developed and collected four names who are suspected to be involve in dacoity case.

Rongmil police team today morning raided Mejolgre village and apprehended four suspects who are involve in the case and seized mobiles phones belonging to the culprits.

Source information indicated that the accused persons were involved in the case they have been apprehended and were later brought to Rongmil OGC for further necessary action.

Apprehended persons have been identified as Tillingbirth M Sangma, Walak M Sangma,Tengsan R Sangma and Chingrak M Sangma all from Mejolgre Chekjongbra village.
