Tura, July 13: More than 3.11 lakh Enumeration Forms distributed in West Garo Hills under Special Intensive Revision(SIR) since Enumeration Phase began on June 30, 2026.
According to the District Election Officer (DEO), West Garo Hills, the Enumeration Phase is being carried out in all 547 polling parts spread across the district’s 11 Assembly Constituencies.
The distribution of Enumeration Forms has been proceeding smoothly, with active participation from electors in all constituencies.
As of 4:30 pm on July 13, a total of 3,11,633 Enumeration Forms had been distributed, while 1,16,108 forms had already been digitized.
Among the Assembly Constituencies, South Tura recorded the highest number of Enumeration Forms distributed at 36,492, followed by Phulbari with 34,015, Selsella with 31,188, and Gambegre with 30,358. Other constituencies also reported steady progress, including Rangsakona (29,067), Tikrikilla (28,102), Dadenggre (27,748), Raksamgre (25,785), North Tura (24,975), Dalu (18,725), and Rajabala (16,809).
The digitization process is also underway, with Raksamgre recording the highest number of digitized forms at 8,842, followed by Dalu (6,605), Gambegre (6,178), Rangsakona (5,787), and the remaining constituencies continuing the data entry process.
The DEO also informed that the District SIR Helpline had received 20 calls as of July 13, all of which were successfully resolved, indicating that voter assistance mechanisms are functioning effectively during the revision exercise.
The Special Intensive Revision aims to update and verify electoral records to ensure that the electoral roll remains accurate and inclusive ahead of future elections.
