Shillong, May 9: The Federation of All School of Meghalaya (FASTOM) on Monday resumed their agitation as the Adhoc school teachers staged a protest in front of the main Secretariat building at Shillong.

The FASTOM had relaxed their on-going agitation from May 2 – 8, after the association had received positive response from the education department.

It may be mentioned that the Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui had earlier expressed that the government cannot upgrade the Adhoc teachers to deficit pattern but had assured to enhance the salary of all adhoc teachers, but there has no communication thereafter.

The FASTOM demanded immediate enhancement of their salary if the government does not consider upgrading their services to a deficit system.
