Tura, Oct 22: Villagers of Debilongagre in West Garo Hills apprehended four persons late Tuesday night on suspicion of cattle theft and detained them at the Nokma’s residence.
According to reports from Gambegre Outpost, a police team from Dobasipara Beat House and Gambegre OP rushed to the village after receiving information about the incident.

The officers rescued the four suspects from an angry mob and dispersed the crowd before taking them to the police station.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Romero Ch. Momin of Upper Chandmary, Tengsu D. Shira of Alotgre Niram Ading, Tingku Rishi of Dobasipara and Tengsrang Ch. Sangma of Gambegre.
Police have initiated an investigation into the case.
