TURA, Sept 9: West Garo Hills police come stepped in to provide much needed help for a rural lower primary school at Debillongagre village in the Gambegre block region of the district providing education kits and sports materials.
Led by the district superintendent of police Vivekanand Singh Rathore, the officer and men visited the school to interact with the young children and handed over a computer set, a printer, school bags for the students, stationary items such as note books, pencils etc., a dictionary, an Atlas for children to learn about the geography of the state, country and world, Drawing Books, Crayons, White Boards, among others.
The support to the school by the district police was not only towards studies, but an all around physical development of the children were kept in mind as the visiting police delegation also handed over sports Items such as Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Chess, Ludo, Carrom etc. were also handed over to the management and students of Debillongagre LP school.
