Tura, June 20: The District Magistrate of South West Garo Hills has de-notified Hajongpara village and Arenggre village as containment zones with immediate effect.

The District Magistrate, in a statement dated June 18, said that no new cases have been found in the two villages in the last three days. At the same time, there has been active surveillance, contact tracing, testing and creating awareness on behaviour change management on Covid-19.

The statement said the District Medical & Health Officer has also requested for de-notification of the villages from the containment zone.

The two villages were put under containment zones on June 06, 2021.
