SHILLONG, MAY 27: The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) will stage a one-day sit-in-demonstration at Lad College in Jowai on Wednesday to protest against the admission related problem faced by students in Jaintia Hills region.
“The protest will start from 11 am tomorrow to pressurize the state government to immediately address the problem and ensure all students including those coming from poor economic backgrounds are getting admission,” the union said in a statement on Tuesday.
The union has been demanding the government to introduce the evening section in Kiang Nangbah Government College (Higher Secondary Section) and morning section in the Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) to address the admission problem.
