Khliehriat, Oct 7: The Jaiñtia Youth Federation (JYF), East Jaiñtia, on Thursday met the Deputy Commissioner of East Jaiñtia Hills District to oppose the Aadhar Card enrolment by non-tribals in the district.
The JYF stated that these non-tribals are claiming to be residents of the villages in the district and, thus, in the future use the Aadhar Card to register themselves as voters and this might create problems in the near future.
On these grounds the federation urged upon the Deputy Commissioner to stop such enrolments at the earliest.
