SHILLONG, JUN 19: VPP MDC from Mawkyrwat Pynkhrawboklin Kharjahrin has resigned as Executive Member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, with the Meghalaya Governor CH Vijayashankar approving the move with immediate effect.

A notification issued by the District Council Affairs department on Friday stated that the Governor accepted Kharjahrin’s resignation under Rule 21(1)(b) of the Assam and Meghalaya Autonomous Districts (Constitution of District Councils) Rules, 1951, as amended by KHADC.

Kharjahrin was in charge of Council assets.
