Khalistan’s Amritpal Singh and supporters end hunger strike in Assam Jail

Dibrugarh, Mar 22: The Khalistan Ideologue, Amritpal Singh along with nine other inmates who have been lodged in Dibrugarh Jail have ended their hunger strike on Thursday.

Amritpal Singh along with nine of his supporters were detained under the National Security Act.

The conclusion of the hunger strike involved a religious ceremony led by five senior priests. After the ceremony, they prayed and shared offerings from the Golden Temple and Har Ki Pauri.

It can be mentioned that, advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, who accompanied them, mentioned that prayers were held in the jail’s entrance hall, which was attended by all ten inmates.

It can be noted that their hunger strike began on February 16, in protest against the installation of surveillance devices in their living quarters.
