Shillong, Feb 15: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) on Thursday has called for a sit-in protest to pressurise the state government to away with the personal interview in group B, C, and D in government post.
The protest, joined by many party workers, was led by KHNAM Working President, Thomas Passah, and General Secretary, James MA Neng, near the statue of Kiang Nangbah at Civil Hospital, Shillong.
KHNAM has demanded to do away with the personal interviews in group B, C and Din line with the Central Government and 23 other states in the country. The group includes – Cleaner, Sweeper, Lower Division Clerk, Driver and other government posts.
As per the KHNAM leaders, doing away with personal interviews in these groups will prevent backdoor employment practices by those in power.
