SHILLONG, MAY 5:The state Cabinet on Tuesday approved the extension of service for three senior officials and cleared key amendments to forest transit rules along with service rules for the Meghalaya Drug Testing Laboratory, Cabinet Minister and MDA spokesperson Wailadmiki Shylla said.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Shylla said the cabinet approved the extension of service for Ram Mohan Mishra, retired IAS officer and Executive Chairman of the Meghalaya State Investment Promotion Board.

It also cleared the extension of service for Hector Marwein, retired IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, who serves as Chairman of the Meghalaya Sustainable Development Council.
A third extension was granted to Kynphambor Wahlang, Superintending Engineer in the Directorate of Urban Affairs.
On the regulatory front, the cabinet approved the amendment of transit rules under Sections 40 and 41 of the Meghalaya Forest Regulation, 1973, read with Assam Regulation No. 7 of 1891, as adopted and amended by the State of Meghalaya.
The cabinet further approved the adoption of service rules for officials of the Meghalaya Drug Testing Laboratory.
