According to the the Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, “The veterinary college and the dairy college will be set up at Kyrdemkulai in Ri Bhoi District and the fisheries college will be set up in Garo Hills, where the exact location will be decided once the fisheries department submits the details on the different options that are there but it will be in Garo Hills region.”
While answering to a question, the CM stated that the seats admitted into these three colleges will be in ratio with the faculty members, that is, 60-100 annually.
CM Conrad also informed that the Cabinet has amended the Meghalaya District Courts Managerial Service Amendment Rules which will enable the district courts to employ and run interviews at the district level as the District Selection Committees instead of having the the High Court conduct grade 3 and 4 posts. This will make the process a little more rapid.
