Shillong, June 9: As the districts of South West Garo Hills, West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills reel under flood, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday informed that the district administration has been instructed to take necessary precautionary measures and provide necessary help to the public, wherever required.

He also informed that three lives were lost due to the flood and steps have been taken up to provide ex gratia to the bereaved families. Moreover, the district administrations have been instructed to make sure that there is minimum inconvenience to the public.

The Chief Minister will be visiting the affected areas on Friday.
