Shillong, Mar 1: The state Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Meghalaya Foodgrain/SK Oil Public Distribution System Control Order, 2022, which seeks to increase the term of the wholesaler from 1 year to 2 years and for fair price shop to 3 years.

Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui informed that the cabinet has also approved the amendment of the Meghalaya State Consumer Protection, Salary Allowance and Condition of Service of President and Members of State and District Commission Rules, 2021.
“This is being taken up to see that there is a pay parity (among) these members,” he added.
The cabinet has also discussed on the Governor’s Address for the upcoming Assembly’s budget session, slated from March 4 and approved the Meghalaya Directorate of Sainik Welfare and Zilla Sainik Welfare Army and Navy Service Rules, 2020 and others.
