Shillong, May 9: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has declared that Mini Secretariats will be constructed in two district headquarters of the state – Jowai and Tura; and one in Civil Sub Division (CSD), Pynursla.
The announcement was made by Deputy CM came during at the inauguration of the Dorbar Hall at Pynursla on Saturday.
“The government has received the sanctioned amount for the construction of the mini Secretariats. In Pynursla, it will be constructed near the Sub Division office building, the government has also sanctioned to build a Circuit House, Quarters for Officers and the employees of the Pynursla CSD,” announced the Dy CM.
The Chief Minister will soon lay the foundation stone for the building of the Mini Secretariats in Pynursla, Jowai and Tura.
“Apart from the construction of the three mini Secretariats, the government has further sanctioned the building of the new Block Development Officer (BDO) at Pynursla,” he added.
It may be mentioned that on November 7, 2020, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma along with the Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui and local MLA Wailadmiki Shylla and senior officials had inspected the proposed site for the Mini Secretariat at Ladthadlaboh, Jowai.
