Tura, Aug 6: The body of Teseng M. Sangma, the Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer of South West Garo Hills who went missing on Sunday, has been recovered from below the Pelga Waterfalls after an intensive multi-agency search operation.

The recovery brings closure to a three-day effort involving SDRF, SRT, local police, and community volunteers who combed the Ganol River basin and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the Mahari (clan) of the deceased has made an emotional appeal through HubNews, requesting the public not to circulate pictures of the body out of respect for the family’s grief.
Authorities are expected to conduct further procedures as per protocol.
