Nagaland: Fire breaks out in two seperate locations in Dimapur

Dimapur, July 28: Two separate fire incidents were reported in Dimapur on Monday(July 27) resulting in damage to property and minor injuries to one person.

In the first incident, a semi-pucca house was completely gutted in a fire at Indisen Colony. One person sustained minor burn injuries in the blaze. The cause of the fire and the extent of property loss are yet to be ascertained. In the second incident, a lightning strike triggered a fire at a textile recycling unit in Sumi-sa Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur.

No casualties were reported in the incident. Fire personnel were deployed to douse the flames and clear debris as smoke billowed from the structure. Large quantities of textile materials were damaged.

Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and follow safety measures, especially during periods of thunderstorms and dry weather.
