KOHIMA, June 24: Nagaland has secured corporate commitments worth more than ₹30 crore and signed strategic partnerships with leading companies, including IBM, Adobe, Reckitt, Tata AIG, Bajaj Electricals, IndiGo and the Bharti Airtel Foundation, to drive education, healthcare and digital empowerment initiatives across the state.

The commitments were announced at Nagaland Connect 2026, a major CSR roadshow and business conclave held in New Delhi and organised by the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) in collaboration with CSRBOX.

The state government signed Letters of Intent (LoIs) with the corporate partners for implementing long-term projects focused on education, healthcare, skill development, digital inclusion and infrastructure in underserved areas of Nagaland.

Leading the state delegation, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said the partnerships would help build a “healthier, more skilled and digitally empowered Nagaland”, particularly in rural areas.
“Nagaland is open for partnerships that create real impact on the ground. These CSR commitments will help us build a healthier, more skilled and digitally empowered Nagaland for our people, especially in rural areas,” Rio said.

The conclave witnessed the participation of Deputy Chief Ministers T. R. Zeliang and Yanthungo Patton, cabinet ministers and senior government officials, underlining the state’s push to attract sustainable development partnerships with the private sector.

Advisor to the Chief Minister and IDAN Chairman Abu Metha described the event as “the beginning of a promising new chapter of partnerships, innovation and inclusive development” and said the state would work with renewed determination to create opportunities and accelerate progress.

With the agreements in place, Nagaland plans to roll out scaled-up CSR interventions during 2026-27, with a particular focus on digital empowerment, employability and improving health outcomes in rural communities.

The roadshow also marks one of the largest CSR mobilisation efforts undertaken by the state government, positioning Nagaland as an emerging destination for corporate-led social investment and development partnerships in the Northeast.
