Tura, Nov 25: The NCC Car Rally North Eastern Region concluded its extensive journey with a flag-off ceremony at Don Bosco College, Tura amphitheater .
The event featured cultural performances by cadets and was flagged off by Fr Bivan R Mukhim, the Principal of Don Bosco College.
The program started with the arrival of the convoy with the Major General Gagan Deep ADG of NCC NER. There were cultural song and dance performances from the cadets and later the flag off was done at 9:30 by the principal of Don Bosco College Fr Bivan R Mukhim.
The 14-car convoy covered various locations in the Northeast, starting off from Shillong, Haflong, Dharmanagar, Aizwal, Masimpur, Dipu, Kohima, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Zero, Itanagar, Tenga, Tawang, Kalaktang, Barpeta, Kokrajhar, Tura and now towards Guwahati at the Narangi Cantt where they will end their rally.
The NCC Car Rally, spanning since November 6, 2023, to commemorate 75 years of NCC, reached its conclusion on Friday. The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, Jagdish Chelani, flagged in the rally at Don Bosco College, Tura.
The NCC car rally was organised as a part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the National Cadet Corps, the NCC directorate of north east region has organised a special outreach programme in the form of a car rally covering various parts of the region.
