Tura, Oct 3: The North Eastern Career Academy organised an integrated training course for a period of six weeks.

The training course is being organised in association with the ICFAI University.

The orientation programme was held on Tuesday at the ICFAI campus.

The NEC Academy is a scheme under the Chief Minister’s Career Guidance and Career Counselling Scheme, sponsored by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya.

Dr. Viola Sonatchi B. Sangma, an esteemed guest for the session and advisor of the ICFAI University, motivated the students through her speech. The organising committee members for the programme are GM Bruce (Career Guidance Instructor, NEC), Biplob Nath ( trainer), Anusangika Hajong (trainer) along with the placement and career counselling coordinators/asst. professors Ellerie N. Arengh, Abhijit Sarkar, and Arkanza A. Sangma.

The programme will help the students acquire skill development, conceptual learning, general awareness, and enhance their learning abilities.

At the end of the session, a mock test will be conducted.

Students will also get free books and certificates after successful completion of the programme.

This programme has been designed to prepare students for various competitive exams. In order to guide, shape, and assist the students in entering into suitable employment and a successful career.
