The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) expressed resentment on Monday after RTI findings revealed that out of the 342 families initially identified for relocation from the Them Metor (Harijan Colony) at Themïewmawlong, Shillong, only 194 are employees of the Shillong Municipal Board (SMB). Speaking to reporters, HYC president Roykupar Synrem stated that the other 148 families which were included in the original plan are not government employees and objected against any land or dwellings given to them as part of the relocation programme.
