Shillong, Nov 26: National People’s Party (NPP) national president and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday said his party will analyze the political development and accordingly gear up to take advantage of the situation.
“Definitely, we will be analyzing the political developments that have taken place. We will gear up and work harder and try to overall see how we could as a party take advantage of the situation that is prevailing,” Conrad Sangma told reporters.
He was reacting to the decision of the 12 Congress MLAs to merge with the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) in the state.
“We will see and observe how the political scenario unfolds and make sure we as a party can take advantage of the opportunity that comes out. We will try to do our best,” he said.
Stating that the NPP will not take things for granted, the chief minister said, “We would take it very seriously and would examine and study the political impacts of this very important, I should say shift that is taking place.”
