Guwahati, Oct 3: A fire broke out at Cyber Mart on SS Road in Fancy Bazar around 3 a.m. on Friday, killing one person and injuring three others.

Four people trapped inside the commercial complex were rescued and taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.

Among them, 32-year-old Salman Qureshi died due to suffocation from the smoke. The other three — 24-year-old Tasib, 22-year-old Saharim, and 22-year-old Arif — are undergoing treatment, with doctors stating that two remain in critical condition.
