Police apprehends 3 for drug trafficking in Shillong city, recover heroin

Shillong, Oct 21: In its relentless drive to combat the menace of drug trafficking in the state, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills on Friday apprehended three drug traffickers in Shillong City.

The trio was apprehended near Law College, Dhankheti, Shillong.

The suspects have been identified as: Marvince Majaw (43) and Phiralang Dkhar (42, both residents of Mawlai Nongmali Block III, Shillong; and Imti Ao Shylla (47), resident of Kharmalki, Malki (behind Law College), Shillong.

During the operation, the ANTF also seized two soap cases containing Heroin, with a total weight of 23.95 grams, cash amounting to Rs. 44,500, one brand new silver Venue vehicle, and 3 mobile phones.
