When asked if one year would be enough to fulfill the people’s aspiration, Syiem however said, “It is not about time it is about how you work. So we will try our level best to deliver our service to the people up to cent per cent that we can from our side.”

He also admitted that the bye election was a tough fight. “It was difficult because our opponent Congress has so many allegations against us as they try to bring in anti-party, anti-MDA factors but still we are very grateful to the people of Mawrynkneng as they are wiser than all of us,” Syiem added.
