Imphal, Nov 28: Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Lin Laishram in Imphal on November 29, 2023. The duo arrived in Imphal on Monday and visited temples to seek blessings ahead of their wedding.
They offered prayers at Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen at Heingang in Imphal East in the morning and Shri Shri Govindajee, the largest Vaishnava temple in Imphal, in the evening of Monday.
Following their temple visit, Hooda told media: “I pray for a happy future, peace for Manipur and everywhere in the world, a happy married life and many more things.”
The much-anticipated wedding is expected to be an intimate affair with only family members and few close friends attending it. A Hindustan Times report has stated that the wedding is expected to be ‘Mahabharat’ themed.

Hooda also mentioned that other Bollywood celebs are unlikely to descend onto Imphal for the wedding as he categorically said, “It’s just me.”
However, the couple has planned a grand reception in Mumbai later.
In their wedding invite, the couple had stated: “Taking a leaf out of Mahabharata where Arjun married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, We are getting married with the blessings of our families and friends. We are filled with immense joy to share that our marriage will take place on the 29th of November 2023, Imphal, Manipur, followed by a reception in Mumbai. As we set to embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful. In love and light, Lin and Randeep.”
While Hooda is a well known actor with appearances in numerous films alongside big actors like Salman Khan in Kick and Sultan, Alia Bhatt in Highway, Chris Hemsworth in Extraction among others, Lin Laishram also has a glittering portfolio.
She has appeared in films like Om Shanti Om (2007), Mary Kom (2014), Umrika (2015), Rangoon (2017), Axone (2019), Ave Maria (2020), Jaane Jaan (2023) among others. She was also the brand ambassador of New York based jewellery brand, Ozoru Jewelry. During her stay in New York, she was a print and Fashion model and worked with many renowned photographers; make-up artists and stylists. She started her jewellery line called Shamooo Sana in March 2017.
Laishram is a trained archer, and was a Junior National Champion in 1998.
