Shillong, June 28: The Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) on Tuesday lent a helping hand to the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Central body by donating to the fully funded scholarship for UPSC-CEC coaching course for the young aspirants from the State.
The KSU Central Body on May 14 conducted an entrance test for the USPC aspirants. 3 youth were selected and will be undergoing UPSC coaching in the country’s capital, New Delhi.
Speaking to Hub News, President of the Ri Bhoi Youth Federation(RBYF) Bipul Thangkhiew said the RBYF, after knowing that 3 UPSC aspirants have been selected by the KSU, has decided to help by donating to the KSU for this good deed in rendering financial aid in the form of a full funded scholarship to these aspirants from Khasi-Jaiñtia region.
“What we have given today is a very small amount in comparison to the amount they are going to spend,” said Thangkhiew. Also, Lambokstar Marngar, the president of KSU, has informed that there are some well wishers in the state that have contributed to the fund.
The President of RBYF has also urged other organizations of the state to come forward to help in these kind of fields for the betterment of the youth and the society as a whole.
