Shillong, July 8: Health officials in Ri-Bhoi district have been trained on the latest modules of the Universal Immunization Win (UWIN) platform and the digitalisation of the Anemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) programme as Meghalaya stepped up efforts to strengthen digital healthcare delivery.
The district-level training, held in Nongpoh on Tuesday, brought together Medical Officers, Supervisors and Block Data Managers to enhance their skills in using digital platforms for immunisation and anaemia management.
UWIN, the Government of India’s digital platform for tracking the vaccination of pregnant women and children under the Universal Immunisation Programme, enables real-time monitoring of immunisation, digital health records and timely follow-up of beneficiaries.

Officials said the programme focused on improving data quality, strengthening real-time monitoring and ensuring efficient delivery of essential health services.
“By equipping frontline health managers with digital tools, the initiative marks another important step towards building a more responsive, transparent and technology-driven healthcare system,” an official said.
The training also aimed to strengthen immunisation services and accelerate the digital transformation of public health across the state.
The programme was organised by the District Immunisation Division with technical support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
