Tura, Mar 14: The State Bank of India (SBI), Chandmari Branch in Tura, provided essential banking services to the public on Saturday, despite it being a bank holiday (second Saturday), following instructions from the district administration and competent authorities.
According to a communication issued by the branch, the bank remained operational from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on March 14 to ensure that residents had access to necessary banking facilities during the ongoing situation in the region.
Branch officials stated that ATM services were also kept functional for customers to help meet urgent cash requirements.
The bank said the decision was taken to mitigate the inconvenience faced by the public and ensure that essential financial services remain accessible.
SBI Chandmari Branch further stated that it is prepared to continue providing necessary banking support to the public as required under the present circumstances.
