Shillong, Feb 6: In a major breakthrough in the Rajabala case, Rajabala Police on Friday arrested another prime accused, Amir Hussain (47), from the Magurmari weekly market under Sukchar Police Station in South Salmara district of Assam.
The arrest was carried out with the assistance of the Assam Police.
Earlier, on February 4, Rajabala Police had arrested another accused, Anisul Sheikh (26), during a late-night raid at Bhaitbari in connection with Rajabala Case No. 01/2026.
Both individuals had been absconding and evading arrest for several days before being apprehended. Further investigation is underway.
