SHILLONG, JAN 28: Two persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident that occurred near the CM Connect building in Golflinks, Shillong.
The action was taken based on an FIR filed on January 22 that on January 21, at around 6:30 PM, two pedestrians were assaulted by assailants riding a Scooty near the CM Connect building, Golflinks, and their mobile phones were snatched.
The accused, Kitbok Thabah @ Koi (29) and Daniel Syiemlieh (23), were arrested on Tuesday from Golflinks and Nongmynsong Dongkamon, respectively, East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said.
The stolen mobile phones and the Scooty used in the crime (B/R No. ML05 AG0461) were recovered and seized, he added.
A case has been registered under Sadar PS C/no. 16(01)2026 U/S 115(2)/304(2)/3(5) BNS.
