Tensions flared on Friday in Aizawl as supporters of the newly formed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Mizoram staged a protest in front of the State BJP office, citing the BJP's alleged responsibility for a recent horrific incident in Manipur. The clash between the two political groups resulted in minor injuries to the members.
Debbarma, a senior leader of the TIPRA Motha Party also expressed apprehensions about the budget allocation for tribals, stating that if 39 percent of the budget is allocated to them, it would imply a reduction in funds for UR, SC, and OBC populations.
