Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, on Monday kicked-off a week long celebration of achievements by youths of the State by felicitating the Sports Achievers of Meghalaya Games 2024 and Khelo India Youth Games 2024 at a function that was held at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong.
The launch of the waste collection e-vehicles is part of the Swach Bharat Mission - Grameen, a national flagship programme of Government of India, which aims to make all villages as Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus villages.
Meghalaya and Assam share 12 areas of dispute. While an agreement has been reached to resolve six areas having less complications, the remaining six areas are being taken up in the 2nd phase of talks, which began in 2023.
