Assam's expanding anti-drug campaign took an unexpected turn on Tuesday when Tinsukia Police raided a psychiatrist's clinic in Digboi, seizing a large quantity of suspected habit-forming medicines and detaining the doctor running the facility as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged illegal sale of controlled drugs.
In a joint operation, security forces have recovered approximately 30 kg of explosives from the Digboi Reserve Forest in eastern Assam Tinsukia district.
