It maybe noted that the HNYF has imposed a ban on all Assam-registered vehicles in the Umtyngngar area, demanding that the government introduce a policy to restrict the traffic of non-local vehicles carrying tourists.

The Hynniewtrep National Youth Federation (HNYF) on Friday took action against vehicles with Assam registration, turning them back from the Umtyngngar area. These vehicles were barred from proceeding to popular tourist destinations in Sohra and Dawki.
