The Meghalaya cabinet has approved the Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong (IIPHS) Bill 2026, paving the way for the institution to be granted state university status.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday inaugurated the Zoonotic Vector Borne Diseases Research & Training Centre (ZVBDC) at the Indian Institute of Public Health-Shillong (IIPHS) as part of a seminar on ‘One Health’ hosted by the Institute.
